SCRIPT

Script offers a new way of displaying time. Since the 1970’s the seven segment display has been the standard choice for almost any electrical product that displays numbers, from calculators and digital clocks to washing machines and ovens. It’s a simple and efficient technical solution, but lacks the elegance of a beautiful typeface. The Script font shares the same principle of a segmented display, but rearranges the segments to create an entirely new digital typeface, giving the numbers a flowing, more human quality. The large display is framed by a simple case in black or white with a soft pillowed reverse, creating a strikingly thin and elegant form. There are no other features or markings to detract from the Script font and the clock also displays seconds, allowing users to appreciate the graceful transition from one number to the next. The clock’s reverse has three flush buttons to set the time and holes for hanging. Alternatively it can be placed on a table or desk using a removable stand stored in the battery compartment. The Script range also includes an alarm clock and wrist watch.

The choice of materials provides a contrast by marrying delicate stainless steel with voluminous acetate. The sunglasses are a result of complex handcraft.

The hour hand (disc) is divided in two segments of different colours that, rotating, indicate AM or PM time depending on the colour that starts being visible. The minute hand is visible through the bigger radius arc and determines which minute slot corresponds to the 0-30 minutes dials (located on the inner radius of the arc) and the 30-60 minutes slot (located on the outer radius).
